Cachimba C8-$1070
About the maker
Well this is a blast of nostalgia. I had heard of these but never seen oen as it were in “the flesh”. The Cachimba line up was commissioned by Dr Peter Calvo who founded the Sydney Guitar Schoolin 1969, which latter became AIM. Finding there were few quality Classical guitars suitable for teaching the Classical repertoire available in Sydney. He commissioned a small factory in Nagoya, Japan. To make him a series of models from 1-10 for his burgeoning student base. This is a high-end model 8.
