About Andrea Gonzalez Caballero
Andrea Gonzalez Caballero is one of today´s most acclaimed young guitarists, a fact which her concert career corroborates. She gave her first concert at the age of eight and has since been performing regularly worldwide.
She has been invited to teach and play in many international guitar festivals including the International Guitar Festival of Szeged Hungary, the Monterey Guitar Festival in Mexico, and the Isaac Nicola Festival in Cuba.
Her international engagements include performances in Holland, Germany, Cuba, Mexico, Hungary, Italy , United Kingdom and Spain. In 2015 she was selected as one of the most prominent musicians in Spain to play her solo debut at “ Spanish National Auditorium” in Madrid.

Andrea Gonzalez Caballero plays and shares insights on the exposition to Fernando Sor’s Grand Solo, Op. 14. Caballero begins by discussing the different editions published in Sor’s lifetime and goes on to outline the basic sonata structure. In her walk through of the piece, Caballero shares insights on technical aspects such as right and left hand preparation as well as musical ideas related to phrasing, color, and tempo.
