Francisco Navarro Garcia (b. 1963 began building guitars when he was about twenty, and has become one of Mexico's finest Luthiers.

Francisco Navarro is one of Mexico’s finest Luthiers. In 1989 he won 1st place in a National competition which is held annually in Paracho, Mexico, and during the past 10 years has received worldwide acclaim. Navarro’s guitars carry with them the influence of Torres, Contreras, Romanillos, and many other renowned Spanish Luthiers. Their training and tradition live on in the Americas through the fine artistry of Francisco Navarro, Garcia.

What’s very special about the Grand Concert Classical by Francisco Navarro is that he can follow the Style and Bracing Patterns of specific Famous Luthiers. Most notably … Bouchet, Friedrich, Hauser, Rodriguez, Smallman, and Torres.

Just touching it is a sensual experience, the beautiful finish; I should say the perfect finish, the incredible quality of Solid German Spruce top with very tight and regular nodules all across it. The back and sides are made of gorgeous Indian Rosewood.

The bracing pattern gives it a really phenomenal tone and projection, amazingly rich and refined. Its fullness, tone quality, craftsmanship, volume, projection, and playability are superb. This guitar is a wonderful example of the fine work of Francisco Navarro.

 PROVENANCE

This Bouchet style Nararro was especially built after the owner had owned several other Navarro built guitars with standard bracing. Over the years his guitar collection has expanded to include everything from early music, flamenco, steel string etc. So, it time to reluctantly part ways with some of his favourite guitars.

Come and see and play for yourself.
