Description:
2000 Estrada Gomez Cedar Top / Indian Rosewood Back and Sides No 375 close numerically to the famous 2000 Guitar by Estrada Gomez owned by Maximo Diego Pujol in the recording of “Tango to the Max” Australian National Tour.
The tour promoter was so taken that he ordered this No 375 Estrada Gomez which was tested and certified by Pujol in Buenos Aires. On that recommendation it was purchased and shipped to Australia.
Maximo played no 375 in masterclasses in the 2001 Australian Tour. He later said that he preferred the tone of No 375 to that of his own earlier guitar.
No 375 has been in the constant care of it’s sole owner since then and comes up for sale for the first time.
“Estrada Gomez guitars stand out for their great projection, musicality and playability featuring gorgeous round tone and clear singing trebles. The choice of leading Argentine guitarists and exclusive dealers like Guitar Salon International (USA) in the 2000s.”
“Francisco Estrada Gomez was a revered luthier “un hombre grande” and published a unique study on guitar harmonics. He retired in 2018 at the age of 93 years old and died in July 2019 - leaving a great musical legacy to the world - including guitar No 375.”
