About Angel Benito Aguado
Angel is unique among guitar makers in that he cannot be claimed by any of the guitar schools, being largely self taught. He collaborated early in his career with Jose Miguel Moreno and his wife. Out of this early collaboration date many of the early music guitars, but the early music clarity and sensitivity carries over into the building of his contemporary guitars such as the Marizapalos, Marieta and Espanoleta.
They are all incredibly easy to play on the left hand and incredibly musical.
This would explain why so many Madrid conservatorium students use a Angel Benito Aguado to undertake the arduous and long guitar qualification and also why on a Friday evening his workshop is abuzz with both established concert performers and up an coming players.
Ferociously intelligent and detail oriented, Angel’s guitars are a pleasure to play and sound excellent even in the shorter scales lengths of 630, 640 right down to 620.
I was impressed the first time I arrived at Angel’s workshop to find how well-tuned and balanced Angel’s creations are. The notes cascade and “play nicely” with each other with a tinkling musicality that is refreshing; add to this the ease of playing and this becomes an enchanting guitar that you can just let your fingers drift up and down the fretboard, even on the difficult pieces you’re still trying to bed down.

Description:
This is a 2017 Pre-loved Cedar concert Chamber guitar, is by Master Luthier Yulong Guo who is a world-class professional concert guitar. The action is 3.75mm and 3mm at the 12th fret, with room for adjustment. Excellent condition, but the case is scuffed
The craftsmanship in the woodworking and finish are evident and matched by the wonderful acoustic properties of this beautiful guitar.
Details:
For this Chamber Concert model the latest classical guitar technology was used: double-top with two ultra-thin layers of high-quality sound woods on either side of a layer of Nomex to give the strength needed for the durability of the top.
Back and sides are made of solid Indian Rosewood. The arched “violin back” gives the guitar amazing sound projection and volume, making it ideal for concert performances.
The upper bout of the body is sloped to give a ‘raised fingerboard’ in the style of Humphrey guitars.
The ebony fingerboard is 52 mm in width at the nut and 62 mm at the 12th fret. The action is 3.75mm and 3mm at the 12th fret, with room for adjustment
The fingerboard also extends to the 20th fret for the treble strings.
A rosewood armrest, ultra-smooth frets and a low string action make the Chamber Concert exceptionally easy and comfortable to play.

So it is a very comfortable and easy to play guitar.
One of the best guitars in this category and at an unbeatable price.

The perfect choice for advanced students and professional guitarists.
George Ziata is a South Australian guitar maker, building guitars since 1991, specialising in lattice braced classical guitars.
The Ziata Guitars workshop is dedicated to building classical guitars and is equipped with state of the art equipment. Only the finest quality timbers are used and by utilising the most technologically advanced methods and materials all guitars posses the very best quality sound and workmanship.
Soundboard Construction:
Lattice-braced carbon fibre reinforced soundboard design, made by combining traditional designs with the modern lattice design giving the guitars their special character. The advantage of a lattice design is its lighter weight, superior strength and the shape of the lattice stimulates the soundboard more than a traditional fan-braced guitar. The soundboard is domed which creates strength and a finer quality sound.
12th fret position:
The 12th fret is slightly further away from the body than other classical guitars. The body and neck meet at the 14th fret, this is commonly found on acoustic steel-string guitars. Ziata found this feature to be more useful when playing in the higher positions on the fretboard. In moving the 12th fret Ziata was able to fit in a 20th fret without obstructing the sound hole and interfering with the projection of sound.
Guitar Neck:
The neck is made from Honduras Mahogany and reinforced with a carbon fibre rod. The method I use for gluing the carbon fibre infuses the fibre to the timber.
Lacquer finish:
A two part lacquer provides the guitar with very good protection and is the best available modern blended Lacquer for finishing guitars. This lacquer provides a finish that looks deep and by applying a thinner coat it prevents muffling of the sound. After full curing of the finish the guitar is then buffed to a very high gloss.

Dan Nistico’s comments when recording with it were “Very nice. You get a bonus 20th fret for that one piece that has it. Just playing different registers to give you an idea. Very nice, very responsive in all registers, very easy to play. Great sound for a lattice braced because the Spruce top gives it punch. Plays tears in heaven (Sato arrangement)”

Introduction Richard Howell’s website – Hand Crafted Classical Guitars
I was born in Surrey England and music has been a big part of my life since early childhood. My father was a musical director in London, and together with his orchestra handled most of the big stage shows, therefore I was always exposed to music and musicians of the highest quality.
It was at this time that I first fell in love with the guitar, and remember pestering my parents to buy me one, which they duly did when I was about ten.
I made my first guitar in 1966, but it was not until I moved to Australia in 1972 and met Jason Waldron, the proprietor of the Adelaide Spanish guitar centre, that I started to take making seriously. Jason was looking for someone to make student model guitars and somehow I convinced him I was the man for the job.
During this period I had the opportunity to study the work of many of the world’s finest guitar makers. Fleta, Hauser, Hernandez y Aguado, to name but three.
I was particularly inspired by the guitars of the late Ignacio Fleta, and spent some years studying his work.
When I come to make a classical guitar I aim to make an instrument that maintains the consistent qualities that characterise my guitars . (Adequate volume along with great separation, balance, and clarity, with a full and rich sound.) This is important as I am varying my instruments to suit the specifications of each guitar player, which undoubtedly is one of the chief advantages of acquiring a hand made instrument. It is the way to get the guitar suited to you.
My guitars have often been compared to Fleta’s and while I acknowledge the compliment, these days I do not copy them any more than any other maker’s work. I believe all Luthiers share a debt to others for refining the design and establishing benchmarks that we all try to meet or exceed. I try to build the very best sounding and playing instrument I can, and look to learn from any luthier and player who has understood wood and sound.
I work alone in a small workshop at the back of my house in Mornington, Victoria, building instruments one at a time for the most part, and use traditional hand tools and finishes for a vast majority of the work. My years of experience and experimentation together with a commitment to working entirely by hand has given me a good understanding of what each piece of tone wood has to offer. Every piece of wood is unique and I search for the best out of each. This allows me to produce guitars that fulfil the individual potential of the woods, while offering to each player something which is both appealing and at the same time challenging.
I have made over 400 guitars this way, and each one leaves my shop with a very good pedigree – the best materials I can find and all I know goes into each and every one. My preference for handcrafting instruments stems from my admiration and study of the great makers. It has, however, been equally important for me to create instruments which will compliment current demands in taste and performance, both for the professional and enthusiast.

Pedro de Miguel classical guitar in Jose Ramirez style – this guitar combines excellent craftsmanship, quality materials, years of experience and love for music to an instrument of exceptional quality!
Who is behind the name Pedro de Miguel. The answer is simple: two great guitar makers: Pedro Pérez (1958-2008) and Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (1960 – ), who worked for Ramirez before starting their own business.
At the age of fourteen, they both started working in José Ramírez’s workshop, where they first learned from the other guitar makers and later became Ramírez’s master guitar makers under the famous José Ramirez III.
After a few years, they opened their own workshop at 13 Amor de Dios Street in Madrid, where the “Pedro de Miguel” brand was born. Many of the famous Ramirez guitar makers did the same Paulino Bernabe, Manuel Contreras, Felix Manzanero, Miguel Malo, Arturo Sanzano
This is one of their excellent classical guitars with fan bracing system, with a powerful, deep and colourful sound and best balance and sustain. Make no mistake this is a loud an powerful guitar.

Raff used the 1996 Jeff Kemp in the recording of the Australian seminal work in 1998 he released a CD “Whispering from the cedar top” of solo guitar music of Australian composers Richard Charlton and Phillip Houghton.
He is currently the Artistic Director of the Classical Guitar Society, Sydney and Assistant Lecturer in Guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium.
This guitar was later acquired by one of Janet Agostino’s Students.
About This Guitar
Jeff Kemp began building guitars in 1982. His workshop is located at Rockvale, 35km from Armidale in the New England Area of NSW Australia.
The area is part of the Northern Tablelands with an elevation of 1000 metres and a dry climate ideal for guitar making.
His approach to building is to combine the finest elements of a traditionally built guitar with contemporary materials, building methods and design. The result is a powerful, well-balanced guitar with enhanced volume and projection.
These guitars have been described as “New Generation” instruments which are capable of projecting their rich sound in very large concert spaces.
Jeff has a book currently in print on the characteristics of wood available in the Australian market called appropriately enough “The Australian Timber Buyers Guide” Commissioned by – Skills Book Publishing. Sydney 1994 .
Current production is around ten guitars per year. “I was planning to record on guitar but due to the current global situation i decided to sell off some of my guitar collection.”
Precis
In his own words Jeff's approach to building is to combine the finest elements of a traditionally built guitar with a blend of traditional and contemporary materials, building methods and design. The result is a powerful, well-balanced guitar with enhanced volume and projection.
These guitars have been described as "New Generation" instruments which can project their rich sound in very large concert spaces.
They respond to the slightest of touches and are capable of being driven hard without being overpowered, resulting in an extremely wide dynamic range.
Most importantly, this style of building provides the musician with a vast palette of tonal variation to explore a complex array of sounds within the context of the purest and richest timbre.
More about the building of this guitar’s Construction:
The overall design idea is to build an instrument with heavy and extremely stiff back and sides, allowing greater freedom in soundboard construction.
Using this method, less energy is taken from the soundboard by thin sides and there is less interaction between the back and the top via the air volume. This means that the back is not trying to behave like a second soundboard.
The result of this is a more efficient soundboard capable of greater volume and dynamic range. This gives the guitarist a very usable palette of tonal possibilities which span the entire (extremely wide) dynamic range of the instrument.
The backs and sides are made of Brazilian Rosewood with the backs being arched in the same style as a cello back.
This is achieved by laminating Brazilian Rosewood with epoxy resin to a critical thickness allowing the desired stiffness with no internal bracing.
With the thickness involved in achieving the desired effect, it is almost impossible to construct using solid wood. The forces of expansion and contraction of solid wood construction at these thicknesses would eventually result in joint failure and severe cracking.
Jeff uses cedar for soundboards almost exclusively as he prefers the warmer, darker sounds inherent in cedar. He does make spruce guitars but continues to receive more orders for cedar than spruce.
All braces are Balsa/Carbon Fibre composite and bracing patterns are of non-traditional design.
Necks are made from Honduras Mahogany and incorporate an adjustable truss rod which adjusts in both directions to counteract both back and forward bow. This allows Jeff to build the correct curvature into the fingerboard when he is making the guitar, and to allow for neck adjustment if nechttps://www.news.uct.ac.za/article/-2012-08-06-unique-guitar-a-joy-to-makemusic-onessary. Temperature and humidity changes do affect the neck, so the truss rod is available to allow adjustment if needed.
Material selection is of an extremely high standard and only the best ‘Master’ grade woods are selected and utilised in the construction of Jeff’s instruments.

Strumming beauty: James Grace strokes the hand-made guitar he acquired recently from a renowned Australian luthier. Classical guitars are not only capable of producing breathtakingly beautiful sound; they are also instruments of exquisite elegance. All the more so when the instrument has been handcrafted by a master luthier who produces only four to six instruments per year.
This is the kind of masterpiece James Grace (head of classical guitar studies at UCT’s South African College of Music) acquired recently. His handmade six-string classical guitar was produced by Jeff Kemp in a remote town near Armidale, halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, Australia. Grace says Kemp played his CDs in the workshop while he was making the guitar so that “he (Kemp) could try and recreate the same type of sound I was used to”. Grace is no stranger to Kemp’s craftsmanship. He bought one of Kemp’s guitars in 1995, second-hand.
His latest acquisition cost upward of R100 000.
After he fetched the guitar from Australia, all he wanted to do was to start playing it. “It felt a bit unfamiliar, but after spending a few hours just exploring the different sounds I could get from the guitar, I started to get used to it, and it became a joy to make music on,” says Grace.

After a long period of testing and consultation, we finally released the The Jeff Kemp Guitar test report. This report synthesizes the impressions and evaluations of The Jeff Kemp Guitar from ourselves, the teachers and students of the Conservatory of Music, professional guitarists, senior guitar teachers and guitar friends. We believe that these evaluations are comprehensive, objective, and exciting.
We are here to talk to Mr. He Qing from Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Mr. Lai Kangkang and Mr. Guo Yucheng from Beijing Philharmonic Guitar Orchestra, Mr. Yang, Mr. Xu from Zhongqing Musical Instrument, Mr. Raimundo, Director of the Guitar China Club and his two friends, as well as other participants who participated in the test. My friend expressed my heartfelt thanks.
Guitar Scenery officially began to provide the ordering service of Jeff Kemp concert guitars in Asia. The Jeff Kemp Guitar’s 2003 international guitar sold for $6000-6500. The guitar scenery line and Master Jeff Kemp decided together to provide a substantial discount for his friends who buy the first The Jeff Kemp Guitar in China.
Jeff Kemp Concert Guitar test report
Compared with guitars made in factories and small workshops, concert guitars emphasize personality and art, which incorporates the unique personality and philosophy of the producer.
The Jeff Kemp Guitar is the first concert guitar launched by Guitar Scenery. From the shocking feeling when I first got it, to the trial playing of more than a dozen friends and experts in the past month, and our own deepening and deepening
To experience and evaluate this guitar rationally and objectively.
We have every reason to believe that The Jeff Kemp Guitar is one of the best and most individual concert guitars.
We unreservedly ask professionals who are considering buying concert guitars. People and enthusiasts recommend it!
Some friends, when dealing with a guitar, first focus on the appearance, material, and even smell. When evaluating a guitar, the texture of the front panel and back panel, and even the aroma of wood turned out to be a favourite.
An important indicator of the guitar; it is undeniable that when you open the case and the long awaited guitar appears in front of you, the psychological impact caused by the visual and olfactory sensory stimulation is very strong, but the life of the guitar is not Therefore, when we are writing this report, we start with the introduction of the feel and tone of the life of the guitar:
Feel: The Jeff Kemp Guitar has a very comfortable left-hand feel.
Not only do we think so, but all the teachers and students of professional colleges, professional players, and guitar friends and guitar lovers from non-professional colleges all praise the Kemp guitar. It feels very comfortable in playing.
This is the result of years of accumulated experience in guitar making and continuous innovation and design. Mr. Yang, who used to study guitar with Mr. Chen Zhi and now engaged in instrument promotion of Zhongqing Musical Instruments, said: “Including Grieg Smallman guitar, this is the heaviest guitar I have ever touched, and it is also the one I have come into contact with. The most comfortable guitar in the middle of the hand!”
He Qing from the Classical Guitar Department of Tianjin Conservatory of Music commented: “The Kemp Guitar feels very good in his hand and is very comfortable to play. The weight of the guitar body allows the player to get a very good performance when playing. Stability, the left hand can be fully immersed in the performance without having to spend extra’actions’ to adjust the position of the guitar.”
Raimundo, director of the Guitar China Club said: “The feel of Jeff Kemp is very good, and the string pitch is very, very low. “In addition to the design factors of the guitar itself will affect the hand feel, the comfort of the hand feel is also very closely related to the strings of the instrument.
Master Jeff Kemp’s recommended string scheme for his guitar is: D’Addario EJ46 for the 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 strings, and Savarez for the 3rd string. Arian treble (Alliance). It is not a rare phenomenon in China to use Savarez treble with Daddario bass. A well-known method is: 1-3 strings with Savarez Arian treble. 4-6 strings with Daddario J45 or J46 bass. This kind of collocation reflects to some extent the player’s pursuit of sound and timbre rather than the consideration of hand feeling, but the thickness, tension, and degree of polishing of strings of different brands will naturally have a huge impact on hand feeling.
Raimundo, the director of the Guitar China Club, compared his own guitar after playing The Jeff Kemp Guitar. He mentioned that his own guitar uses Savarez 500AJ treble for 1-3 strings and Daddario EJ46 bass on 4-6 strings. The sound can be satisfied, but the left hand feels “quite great tension” when playing (because these two strings are both high tension strings), and when he plays The Jeff Kemp Guitar, although the string collocation is slightly different, But the original feeling of “very tension” in the left hand disappeared. He felt that the strings became easy to press at this time, and it was very comfortable to press the strings with the left hand. The strings “seemed to be soft.” This subtle difference brings not only the superiority of the fingers to the player, but also plays a huge auxiliary role in better interpretation and performance of music; it is like when you drive an excellent F1 car racing, you just need to concentrate on driving without worrying about mechanical failures that will drag you back. Similarly, when you are playing, what you want is to express the music as much as you want, and The Jeff Kemp Guitar allows you to achieve this easily
Tone: If you can express sound in words, what else is music for? Here, we only truthfully write down the personal experience and evaluation of ourselves and some teachers and guitar friends for your reference. After a considerable period of testing, we feel that the Jeff Kemp Guitar’s bass is vigorous and powerful, thick and simple, and the note duration can be extended arbitrarily within a reasonable range. This incredible feeling is like a cello!
Teacher Qing He from the Tianjin Conservatory of Music said: “The Jeff Kemp Guitar’s bass sustain is very satisfying. It is indeed possible to extend the duration of the note at will within a reasonable range. It seems to have the temperament of a bowed stringed instrument, making a long sound. “We think this is closely related to the heavy back and side panels and the overall design of The Jeff Kemp Guitar, especially the protruding back panel like a cello. The Jeff Kemp Guitar’s treble tone is crystal clear, clear and sweet. When playing a single tone, he has a strong graininess, sweet but not greasy. The separation of the high and low voices is good, the overall dynamic range is wide, and the reach performance is very good.
Teachers Lai Kangkang and Guo Yucheng of the Beijing Philharmonic Guitar Orchestra said after playing The Jeff Kemp Guitar, the treble of Jeff Kemp is close to tradition, and the treble and bass are very constant. On the whole I feel that The Jeff Kemp Guitar can play effortlessly, with loud volume and impeccable tone!
They have also come into contact with some Australian guitars before, but the Jeff Kemp high pitch left them a very good impression, and they think this design is very flattering and individual. Mr. Xu, who is currently studying guitar with Professor Chen Zhi, played different styles of music with The Jeff Kemp Guitar. When he played Spanish music, he praised the guitar’s full, bright and very sweet treble grains, without the Spanish guitar at all. A sharp sound and a dry feeling (this kind of sharp sound is often seen in Julian Bream Hearing it in his record), he can surprise people unconsciously, the bass is thick and graceful, the high and low sounds are well-arranged, and the lines are clear.
Then he played works from the Baroque period, such as Bach’s Chakon, together Lane, who tried the guitar, described her feelings like this: “The cello-like bass shook my soul, and the crystal-clear treble made me suffocate… It’s almost like a dream…” Teacher Xu played Qiakong. After the clip, he kept complimenting that the dynamic range of this guitar is very good, it is simply great! A student of Teacher Xu, who was learning audio equipment, said during the test: “I can clearly feel my right hand being shaken by the sound waves from the sound hole. The sound of this guitar is very similar to the sound on the record. When recording this guitar, not only the sound engineer can do part-time work, but also the audio equipment can be halved!”.
The teachers and friends present all agreed that after the guitar is turned on, it will be unimaginable. There is a little tidbit of the test: Lane found out that his ears had paid the price for being fascinated by Jeff Kempbell after the test. On the way home, Lane suddenly felt a buzzing in his left ear because During the 30 minutes of listening to them, Lane has been sitting 1.5-2 meters to the right of the player. Lane still had a faint pain in his left ear until he got home! It has such a powerful “lethality” even when it is not directly facing the player.
The Jeff Kemp Guitar’s grand volume comes from the Smallman style ultra-thin panel, mesh sound beam, and thick arched back panel design. . These timbre and volume characteristics make The Jeff Kemp Guitar not only very suitable for playing music from the Baroque period, classicism period, and romantic period, but his interpretation of modern works is also exceptional.
Front panel and back side panel: The front panel is the most important part that affects the sound and tone of the guitar. The Jeff Kemp Guitar uses a light brown master-grade cedar panel with fine and uniform texture; the picturesque Brazilian rosewood back side panel is particularly eye-catching Under the effect of paint craftsmanship, it is elegant and gorgeous, showing the noble style, especially the arched backboard is like a dolphin’s back, which makes this guitar alive.
Raimundo, the head of the Guitar China Club, described The Jeff Kemp Guitar’s appearance: “Because I rarely touched guitars with Brazilian rosewood back and side panels before, the few wood grains that I have seen are also freehand like landscape paintings. The almost straight wood grain of the side panels made me mistakenly thought that Indian rosewood was used at first. When it was confirmed from Lane that it was Brazilian rosewood, it was the first time I stared at such a high-grade Brazilian rosewood. There is nothing to say. In other respects, Jeff Kemp still retains the usual traditions of Australian guitars.
The large body, heavy weight, matt paint, and rigid reinforcement structure under the sound hole ring are all classics. Australian design. Australian-made guitars have a strange aesthetic orientation, such as the nitro matte spray established by Smallman, and Jeff Kemp’s rubber leaf-shaped sound hole ring ornaments, which give people a kind of unruly characteristic The impression of standing alone. This is perhaps like the United States 200 years ago, hiding the strong Chong-Europe complex in the crazy subversion of tradition. Hehe, the new world of classical guitar production in Australia always brings people unexpected surprise and joy .”
Specifications: Jeff Kemp used a 52mm fingerboard width at the pillow and 62mm at a 12-fret fingerboard width, and an effective chord length of 648mm. The Jeff Kemp Guitar, like most concert guitars, can customise the width and thickness of the fingerboard as well as the string spacing according to the size of the user’s hand. Generally, the hand shape of the Oriental is suitable for the width of the winding pillow of 52mm. The Jeff Kemp Guitar’s upper and lower pillows are made of animal bones, and two animal bones are specially added to the perforation of the lower pillow to protect the wooden bridge. In addition, Master Jeff Kemp customised 20 frets according to our requirements to suit the performance of modern works that require this note, such as “Forest Dream”.
Fingerboard: African ebony looks very uniform density, black in colour without losing lustre. Guitars using African ebony fingerboards are better in terms of bass clarity and sustain performance than guitars using non-ebony fingerboards (such as rosewood, etc.). Neck: The material of the neck is Honduras mahogany, and a metal truss is embedded in the centre to prevent the neck from bending and deforming toward the front panel or back panel. The Jeff Kemp Guitar uses German Shaller gold-plated Hauser-type tuning buttons, and there are other options according to users’ preferences, such as David Rogers from the United Kingdom. The German Charel head is one of the most popular guitar knob sets in the world. It has good mechanical performance, simple and generous appearance, and affordable price. It is the first choice of many guitar makers.
Guitar case : The most famous Hiscox case (glass fibre and custom wooden cases can also be provided upon request, but Mr. Jeff Kemp strongly recommends Hiscox case, because the fiberglass case has strong elasticity, but not enough rigidity. Although the wooden guitar case is good-looking, it is not practical. Mr. Jeff Kemp believes that the case is used to protect the guitar and is convenient for transportation and carrying. If the case is heavy, you can’t walk, and you have to think about it. Look for a bag and cover to protect the guitar case, then the guitar case becomes a burden instead). There is no sliding or shaking of standard- sized classical guitars in this case. Teacher Lai Kangkang of the Beijing Philharmonic Guitar Orchestra loves this kind of guitar box very much. He once tried to put his Almansa guitar in the Hiscox box, and there was no sliding or shaking. In addition, the Hiscox case is known for its lightness and sturdiness, which saves effort and is assured.
Generally speaking, although Jeff Kemp’s mesh support system guitar adopts Smallman’s design concept, it has formed a style different from other Australians due to its own pursuit of sound/timbre and continuous experimentation and innovation. Features. If you like the loud and wide volume like the Smallman guitar, the long and thick bass like the cello, and the crystal clear, clear and sweet treble, The Jeff Kemp Guitar is undoubtedly your ideal choice. Let us sum up Jeff Kemp Guitar with the description of Mr. Max Gaussell, one of the duo of Future Plans : “When the Jeff Kemp Guitar is playing fast scales, it responds as fast as a flamenco guitar, but for slow The swift movement can also play a long sustain. It can clearly distinguish the various parts of the counterpoint work, the volume is vivid and loud, and at the same time it can express the lightly played passages in detail, and it can not only sound the sound during live performances. It can be projected to the entire hall, and it can also be projected to the microphone close at hand in the recording room…All in all, it is a guitar full of contradictions and impossible to exist!”

Francisco Navarro Garcia (b. 1963 began building guitars when he was about twenty, and has become one of Mexico's finest Luthiers.
Francisco Navarro is one of Mexico’s finest Luthiers. In 1989 he won 1st place in a National competition which is held annually in Paracho, Mexico, and during the past 10 years has received worldwide acclaim. Navarro’s guitars carry with them the influence of Torres, Contreras, Romanillos, and many other renowned Spanish Luthiers. Their training and tradition live on in the Americas through the fine artistry of Francisco Navarro, Garcia.
What’s very special about the Grand Concert Classical by Francisco Navarro is that he can follow the Style and Bracing Patterns of specific Famous Luthiers. Most notably … Bouchet, Friedrich, Hauser, Rodriguez, Smallman, and Torres.
Just touching it is a sensual experience, the beautiful finish; I should say the perfect finish, the incredible quality of Solid German Spruce top with very tight and regular nodules all across it. The back and sides are made of gorgeous Indian Rosewood.
The bracing pattern gives it a really phenomenal tone and projection, amazingly rich and refined. Its fullness, tone quality, craftsmanship, volume, projection, and playability are superb. This guitar is a wonderful example of the fine work of Francisco Navarro.
PROVENANCE
This Bouchet style Nararro was especially built after the owner had owned several other Navarro built guitars with standard bracing. Over the years his guitar collection has expanded to include everything from early music, flamenco, steel string etc. So, it time to reluctantly part ways with some of his favourite guitars.
Come and see and play for yourself.

The maker
I was born in Milan in 1971. I obtained the diploma of Master Luthier Restorer at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan in 1996.
In my professional activity I have created more than 250 instruments drawing inspiration from the Masters of historical lutherie.
Of fundamental importance was the possibility of viewing and measuring works by authors such as Antonio De Torres, Hermann Hauser I, Pietro Gallinotti, Francisco Simplicio, Louis Panormo, just to name a few, who have contributed enormously to developing my way of conceiving sound and aesthetics.
In 2007, at the Barcelona Music Museum, I conducted an in-depth study on the 1859 guitar that belonged to Miguel Llobet, which inspired Hauser I to make his Spanish-style instruments, and the famous “ Papier Machè ” (a guitar with cardboard sides and back from 1862), both made by Antonio De Torres and of which I have produced several copies over the years.

Description 2021 Fabio Zontini Herman Hauser 1937 (Ex Segovia) presented at the Rome Guitar Expo
The Guitar and his building process in the makers Own Words
The 2021 is a guitar inspired by a historical instrument the 1937 Hauser that belonged to Andreas Segovia an instrument he used until 1962. The original is kept at the Metropolitan Museum in New York to make 2021 Hausser I used measurements made by the American luthier Richard Brunet like the original, my guitar has a spruce soundboard back and sides are made of Brazilian rosewood and has a 650mm scale length. Segovia's guitar is an instrument that is central in my opinion in the history of the evolution of the classical guitar. In a 1954 magazine called Guitar Review he called it "the greatest guitar of our time". I believe it is fundamental, not just this single instrument but all the work done by Hauser from the moment he devoted himself to building in the Spanish style he made this guitar using Llobet's famous Torres guitar as a model the FE09 of 1859 which, among other things, I too have had the opportunity to analyse and measure about a dozen years ago at the Music Museum of Barcelona... where it is kept. That Torres guitar was a source of inspiration we can also deduce from the fact that for example the rosette design was taken up by Hauser for many of his guitars. But Hauser didn't just copy, he reinvented the instrument according to his own taste and what could have been his own idea of sound thus finally creating an instrument that is wrong to define better than Torres' but one that is certainly very versatile and suitable for playing most of the contemporary repertoire from a design point of view, Hauser redesigned the curves of the template and enlarged it by increasing its vibrating surface increased the thickness of the soundboard and also made the choice of adding an under-bridge brace, that is a spruce reinforcement with grain opposite to that of the soundboard precisely glued facing the bridge in which the the central brace fits.
All these elements combined determine the way the instrument works and the acoustic result that results are long-lasting and very balanced sounds for some years now I have also added a personal touch of mine to the historical copies always traditional, therefore without the use of materials such as Nomex or carbon, this is a five-brace guitar project with an under-bridge from which I get a prompt and brilliant instrument which is part of a certain more recent Spanish tradition however, I now also consider the work done over many years on Gallinotti as mine in the sense that I have internalised the three Gallinotti instruments that I have in my repertoire to the point that I can almost define them as my personal project
it is a model from 1965 in spruce and a 1952 model that can be made in both spruce and cedar that from 1952 among other things is the first ever guitar with a cedar soundboard and I believe I was among the first to make copies it is a very interesting project because its timbre is very original retaining some of the typical characteristics of spruce instruments but with a very different sound color a particular mix that can satisfy both spruce and cedar lovers
Q. will there be any news in your production in the future, in the medium or long term?
A. I intend to continue on the path I have taken over the years continuing to work in the field of traditional lutherie which is the one that interests me the most, I would say that it is a vast enough program

Dan Nistico when playing and reviewing the Fabio Zontini said” We have a very special guitar a Zontini here based on a 1937 Houser played by Segovia. It has a beautiful spruce top and the most beautiful back and sides I have seen. It is a very solid performer in every aspect, clarity, sustain, playability.
Let’s hear some notes around the instrument. Has nice string differentiation, each string is individual has its own colour and differentiation.( Plays a run ) and says Nice!.
This guitar would be nice for the music of Bach or Baroque composers ( plays runs showing clarity). It sounds nice due to the clarity, projection and tone of the Spruce. Plays the Prelude from Suite BWV 1006a” It will bring out a lot of the beautiful characteristic of this guitar”.
The Model 30 builds on the concert like character of the 20 but has a sense of playfulness and joy. The tone is smooth and warm with a velvety character combined with noticeable clarity and evenness across the strings. The 30 reflects the extra time invested so is very responsive to right and left hand touch, making it easy to experiment with different tones, texture and dynamics with the range of dynamic and quality of sound at all levels being excellent. The bass is firm and strong giving the overall sound, depth and support.
This is an excellent instrument and represents a quantum leap from lesser priced guitars due to the clarity and definition of the inner strings, the balance and the colour.

Description: 2024 Elias Bonet Concert Air (Double top)
- Price on Application -
French polished Solid Spruce Top, Madagascar back and sides, Aire bracing.
This model is aimed at guitarists who are immersed in the dynamics of competitions and who need an instrument which is more powerful and easy to play, and which will give them confidence on stage. It is also designed to be played in chamber music contexts, where that added power will help the guitarist to mix with the other instrumentalists without suffering from the guitar’s all-too-common volume disadvantage.
But this is not all about power. The motivation for this project stems from the desire to increase volume but without losing tonal quality. This leads us to the special process for building the sound board for this model, which was inspired by studying guitars created by the German guitar-maker, Antonius Müller. His idea of a double sound board is the one that has interested me most in order to enhance timbre quality.
The result is a guitar which is more responsive, balanced and consistent, which has more sustain, is easier to control, and has better sound projection. Moreover, all of this is achieved without losing the rich timbre that makes the guitar such a special instrument. The possibility of timbre-loss was what worried me most throughout the early development of this model but whilst the sound is somewhat thinner than in the traditional model, this guitar also provides better-defined individual notes when four or more strings sound at the same time.
The use of contemporary materials such as carbon fiber and the thickness of the wood allows us to play with the rigidity and weight distribution in the structure of the guitar. This is crucial to achieve an instrument that will always give us the highest quality of tone in any dynamic range, for both pianissimo and fortissimo.

It was by a chance meeting with the Yagüe brothers which provided Elias the opportunity to build his first guitar in their workshop after he tried to order one from them.
From the first cut of wood, Elias was spellbound by this new, mysterious world of lutherie. In addition to learning from the Yagüe brothers, Elias also befriended Juan Antonio Reyes Torres, another excellent guitar-maker who opened his doors to Elias.
After several years of apprenticing, Elias finally opened his own workshop in March of 2009 and has been building professionally on his own as an independent maker since then.

Pierre’s Observations:
Just arrived from the makers workbench. I ordered this one because I’ve liked them every time I play one. The PB50 is a handmade classical guitar for concert performances built by a maker at the peak of his powers, it delivers a romantic, haunting and enveloping Spanish sound. The trebles are clear and polished, the basses profound and firm. The guitar has excellent separation and balance. And, it’s comfortable set up makes it a pleasure to play.
I rate as one of the great trinity of concert guitars together with the Manuel Adalid Cathedral and the Vilaplana NT before you have to invest over $35,000 in your guitar.
Daniel Nistico’s review shows even he was impressed it said “It is very beautiful guitar, with even, consistent tone, it is a very nice blend modern sensibilities guitar but very even, very silky with a very Spanish tone, it’s gorgeous (playing), silky all over the instrument, very playable as well. Very even, gorgeous”. Plays arrangement of Tears in heaven by Hirokatsu Sato to showcase the guitar.
About the Maker in his own words
Years go by and I enrolled in university: course of studies in industrial design. These years have been fundamental for my training as a luthier, because I learned about the production processes and the design stages, I knew the materials and processes of a product. I lived for 5 years in a fantastic environment, surrounded by friends who are passionate about the most varied forms of creativity.
Towards the end of my studies, I realize that guitars don’t just come out of factories, but that there are also craftsmen who manage to live building splendid musical instruments. So I decide to go and meet one: I choose it at random, from the yellow pages and the next day I go to his laboratory: the luthier is Dario Pontiggia.
Dario immediately proves to be very kind and begins to tell me the story of Antonio De Torres. After an hour of conversation I understand that this job is “what I want to do when I grow up”.
Today I’m grown up and I’m a professional luthier, guitars have become my life. I have built many: they are the result of the passion and study of the great guitar makers of the past. These same guitars today are around the world and are played now in various continents: this is the aspect that makes me most proud of my work.
About the Guitar
Review
l believe Marco Bortolozzo of Milan, Italy, by his craftsmanship and selecting only the finest tone-woods, is one of the few guitar makers that with his celebrated Torres FE09-inspired model, guitar after guitar, has succeeded in bringing back to life the vivid sound, touch and feel of this exciting instrument from 1859 that for good reason, was Miguel Llobet’s favourite guitar.”
Owner of a Marco Bortolozzo “Torres” #66-2018
Jan Depreter
This is latest arrival in Australia and to my knowledge the only guitar from Marco Bortolozzo here, yet another artistic masterpiece from this fine maker.
As a starting point in developing this new model, Marco used the plans for Andres Segovia's iconic 1937 Hermann Hauser. He used a thick "torrefied" (hence the darker color) spruce top and thicknessed it with a variable pattern.
At the same time, he tried to lower the pitch of the guitar by making adjustments to the structure and the general weight. He also added a low-depth tornavoz.
The thicker soundboard gives the treble strings much clarity while retaining a good sustain. The lowered resonance pitch (around E) gives the guitar deep basses. All the adjustments and measurements were made with the help of a microphone and special software to monitor the frequencies.
The guitar also has a hidden adjustable titanium rod inside the neck for stability. The aesthetic details of this guitar are (as usual) of Marco's individual style, although one can distinguish some inspiration in the rosette design from one of the more spectular rosettes of Vicente Arias featuring interlocking circles - meticulously and perfectly executed.
Many of his aesthetic ideas are deeply connected with his background in industrial design. The hard "modern" edges and angles of the inlays and shapes of the guitar (look at the headstock for example) are fused with traditional elements that Marco draws from the architectural wonders of his residence (Milan), one of the great design capitals of the world.
He even gives a "tip of the hat" to his good friend Richard Reynoso with similar style inlay work in the heel cap.
As bold as its appearance, it is equally matched in sound and playability.
The lightweight and efficient build results in a powerful, explosive sound with deep resonant basses and singing, voice-like trebles.
The guitar has immediate and fast response making it incredible easy to play, particularly for the right hand due to the quick attack.
At the same time, there is a solid firmness to every note, reminiscent to us of the more lightweight guitars of Hauser I and II.
Marco has nuanced the top to maximize sustain and also to control the overtones to help the guitar modulate easily with a variety of tonal colors and dynamic range.
He also does very thin double sides which gives this guitar additional power, sustain and assists in giving the bottom-end some extra boost as well as to provide additional clarity and brilliance to the trebles.
The guitar plays very comfortably with both hands thanks to the smooth neck shape, easy action and fast responsiveness.
Absolutely delightful to play and hear, this is a fantastic guitar built on the most traditional of foundations, but with a unique and very tasteful aesthetic.

in impeccable condition because it's new. It's a stunning instrument as you'll see from the photos attachedhowever, the neck doesn't suit the new owner due to age and has decided not to keep it after barely playing it.
It has a torrefied spruce top, ziricote back and sides (all French polished), Alessi tuners and comes with a plush-lined hard case, also brand-new.
The interesting feature of this guitar is that is has a tornavoz and hence a body resonance of E.
You can it being played on YouTube by Francisco Luis playing Luis de Narvaez's "Fantasia X" & "Fantasia XIV".
Daniel Nistico’s review said “This is a top of the range guitar here from Milan made in 2024. Great players are playing this instrument at the moment and not many will come to Australia so grab the opportunity. This one to me is a very good traditional guitar. Very colourful this is hard to find in modern made guitars. (lays) It is very colourful and silky as well with great clarity and colour. On this guitar I thought Id’ play a piece by Astor Piazola Primavera Porteña arranged by Benitez showing colour, range and versatility and power.

French polished Solid Cedar Top, Indian Rosewood Back and sides, Spanish fan bracing
Trained in the Madrid workshop of artisan Angel Benito, this young luthier has achieved in a short time a very constructive maturity of great guitar makers, which is probably a result of his discipline, his extensive studies and her education as guitarist, but also for her talent specially gifted for this difficult art.
Her guitars are featured by a clean sound, full of color and great sustain.
Additionally it offers a great harmonics richness, an immediate response and very good power and projection, unusual in a guitar built with traditional Spanish system
Slightly smaller than a standard size concert guitar, it surprises by its good ergonomics and comfort and easy-playing.
In short, an excellent concert guitar with remarkably high performance, good sound and easy-playability.

After a long wait. we are pleased to confirm arrival of one of the guitars from the legendary Ignacio Fleta Barcelona workshop. Ignacio Fleta commenced building in 1927 for players such as Andres Segovia, John Williams, Angel Romero and his workshop is now in its third generation – with a waiting list of 18 years! It would be fair to say based on the Angel Romero’s video that top payers fight for these guitars to jump the waiting list.

1961 Ignacio Fleta. No 221
Description
This is a fine Fleta as played by John WiIliams in many of his early recording and concerts. Throughout the majority of Williams' early career, a Fleta was his instrument of choice to produce the fresh and clearly articulated tone he is revered for. Williams' Number 235, made in 1961, was his primary guitar for both recordings and performances for many years. After retiring this guitar he continued to use Fleta instruments until the late 1970s.
Provenance
Number 221, also made in 1961 and in its original case, was the concert instrument of one of the most significant figures of Australian guitar. It has a warm Fleta sound and exhibits the cello-like basses and ringing-balanced trebles typical of Fletas. It displays superb clarity, refinement and good balance. The neck is comfortable and the action flows easily.
Condition
Aside from insignificant minor nail marks below the rosette it is in superb original condition. There are no repairs or cracks.
The guitar offers easy action and beautiful tone, something still not achieved by most makers today.
Clearly, Fleta was way ahead of his time in construction, set up and playability and colour palette.
This is a guitar that, in its day, was a landmark and even today is seldom equaled.
I am sure I will not have it for long and I hope we can retain it in Australia before it is snapped up by an overseas collector.
Give me call if you would like to play and hear for yourself.

As John Ray himself says, he is really an overnight success 30 years in the making and he has been willing to move countries in order to drink deeply of the Granada tradition of guitar making.
There are no shortcuts in his work and knowing that, in late 1989, John Ray moved to Granada, to learn the secrets of artisan guitar making.
Over the years he worked with Jonathan Hinves, Jose Angel Chacón and the master Antonio Marín, he has absorbed the ways and techniques of traditional Spanish guitar building with encouragement from friend and guitar maker, Rolf Eichinger.
His designs reflect his deep study of the roots of traditional guitar techniques, his classical and flamenco guitars were developed from the study of the great historical guitars of Torres, Barbero, Lorca and Hernández Santos.
In time, he has achieved a unique style, typical for the sound and design of his instruments, developed with the requirements of guitarists in mind.
They are tonally driven and lyrical.
Apart from their Granada sound, and the ease they provide for the player to blend colour, John's guitars also are remarkable for their comfort, thanks to the comfortable neck, something that is especially important for professionals.
He invests time and care in selecting the finest materials and tone woods, his guitars are made to last and improve with time and playing.

OUR THOUGHTS
Thomas Holt is one of the new breed of guitar makers establishing themselves in Granada, Spain where the hone the trade and tradition from master guitar makers. In Thomas’s case , Rolf Eichinger (1945-2009) and also was influenced by the master guitar maker Antonio Marín Montero.

2013 Dan Kellaway Lattice Concert Spruce top and Brazilian Walnut back and sides + Case
Features
Year of construction: 2015
Scale length (mm): 650mm
Top: Englemann spruce
Back/Sides: Brazilian walnut
Neck/Fingerboard: mahogany with ebony fingerboard.
Sound: A balanced, sweet guitar with remarkable volume, power and dynamics for a traditional instrument.
Here are the comments of Dan Kellaway regarding his Dan kellway lattice classical guitars :
“My Lattice braced classical guitar has evolved over two decades to arrive at a significant stage of development.
It is made using only traditional timber but follows many ideas developed by the best modern Australian makers.
No balsa or carbon fibre are used in this construction. I also attempt to limit the weight while still utilizing the molded back and other enhancements.
Engelman’s Spruce is used because it is midway between European Spruce and Western Red Cedar in hardness , strength and tonal qualities.
My aim here is to provide a middle ground between Smallman and Marty with a very sweet tone in a loud full blown concert instrument.
Here is the ultimate lattice braced full bodied Concert Guitar.
This lattice contains no carbon fibre but is instead reinforced where required with cloth tape soaked in glue.
There is no balsa wood used inside this instrument.
The bracing material is the same as the soundboard itself. This uniformity of timber is more sonorous than a mix and provides great clarity and focus on the note.”
A brand new model just arrived from the workshop of Javier Mengual.
I was so impressed with it on my last buying trip to Spain I just had to bring it back with me!
It has all the power of the well known 50th Anniversary Ziricote model but having Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides it has laser like focus and the unique Montcabrer new internal bracing which delivers concert performance plus.
In the Luthier India model, the sonority has been developed in a special way, obtaining a powerful sound, with deep bass and bright trebles all in superb balance

PROVENANCE
This guitar was purchased from us new in early 2013 and has had just one owner. As a lattice-top, this instrument has a more immediate response than more traditional fan-braced guitars. It has well-balanced tonal distribution across the strings and is capable of delivering a range of tonal colours from crisp to sweet and mellow, depending on the player's chosen style of attack, thus accommodating pieces ranging from Bach to Barrios A nice design feature of this guitar is its extremely comfortable slim neck profile. It has been maintained in superb condition.
The top models of the range featuring double top construction (nomex) with elevated fingerboard. Solid Amazonian Rosewood (Dalbergia Spruceana), shellac (French Polished) soundboard, ebony fingerboard, hand engraved Fustero tuners. This is a deluxe world-class concert guitar taking the lead from German double top builders Matthias Dammann and Dieter Hopf and played by David Russell and Manuel Barrueco prized for their volume, musicality, sustain and ease of playing. The waiting lists for double tops is 7-10 years and the cost runs at $38.000.00
Double top construction. Dammann pioneered what is commonly known as the sandwich or Nomex top. A number of luthiers are doing this now and to my ear they are improving on the tone and musicality of the original concept. Double tops consist of layering basically, one layer of tone wood, then the DuPont fibre Nomex, then another layer. Sometimes the wood layers are the same kind of wood, or sometimes they are different. E.g. Cedar/Cedar or Cedar/Spruce if you want a brighter sound. It is unusual to find a Spruce/Spruce combination since, much like lattice, it can be dominated by high frequencies and hard to control.
The idea with double top construction is that you get a superior strength to weight ratio vis-a-vis the thickness. Super quick response and high volume. Makers such as Yulong Guo and Juan Hernandez are even adding lattice bracing to sandwich tops to get a super loud guitar that sounds good. The key with lattice bracing seems to be getting the thin bracing strips right, and in my opinion with no carbon fibre filler just wood.
Playability. Typically double tops incorporate the latest technologies in guitar building such as a raised Humphrey fretboard and armrest so are very easy on the left hand and due to their sustain and volume are very easy for the right hand to drive and bring out the melodic and harmonic lines.
Another advantage of the lower weight of the top and superior strength to weight ratio vis-a-vis the thickness is that the top does not need to be driven by high tension strings. A major advantage at a time when guitarists are increasingly reporting repetitive strains and injury.
Harmony Central comment
“Dear Paul, The construction, craftsmanship, quality and appearance are beautiful. Excellent! The playability is excellent, too. Fine! And the tone (a real Spanish tone but balanced, too) and the possibilities concerning the modulation of the tone are marvelous, too! All in all, these two Spanish classical guitars are really majestic instruments of their category and truly inspiring! Thanks so much for these two instrument icons.”

The 11P’s fingerboard is longer: it goes over the sound hole in order to introduce an additional fret that is required for high graded players to play some musical pieces (compositions). There is also and additional green line in the binding and inlays. However, the most important is that the heel on the 11P is made of 5 different pieces while the other models have a single piece heel. The structure on the 11P is much stronger and surely this has an influence as well in terms of sound.

For the first time in years, I have just welcomed back into the showroom a beautiful Concert Caldersmith (No 65) I sold to its owner in 2011. It is still in the same excellent condition as when I sold it then.
I remember I sold it then for $7500. And I have persuaded the seller to list at $5,700 so it is a bargain considering you can not buy them new since sadly Graham passed away and they now have cult status.
Graham was He leaves a rich legacy of many 6 string children and a generation of Australian Players
Australian guitar makers have achieved global recognition for their pioneer work with carbon fibre/balsa lattice guitars since the early 1980’s. As one of these pioneer luthiers, Graham’s work is guided by his Physics background and knowledge of acoustics.
Traditionally, guitar makers have endeavoured to optimise the vibration of the back and sides as well the top of the guitar. This means that some of the plucked string energy is lost from the vibrating soundboard to the back and sides. The ‘new’ Australian guitar method builds strong and stiff back and sides and a very thin top/soundboard. In this way, the string energy is translated into sound which carries into the audience rather than much of it being depleted into the player’s body.
The carbon fibre/balsa lattice is an effective way of stiffening the soundboard and so allowing it to be as light and efficient as possible.
A Caldersmith Concert Guitar features the following attributes
The guitar is made on a strong 17mm marine ply frame.
1mm thick western red cedar soundboard reinforced with a graded rectangular balsa/carbon fibre lattice.
Laminated curved back increases strength and gives a lower resonance density, taking less vibration away from the soundboard.
Double acting truss rod allows accurate regulation of neck curvature.
Superior machine heads.
20 frets.
Armrest (optional).
Concert guitars are supplied with a light, but strong Hiscox case for greater protection during air travel.
These guitars maintain the quality features of Caldersmith guitars, whilst keeping the non-professional player (and their budget) in mind. All tops are made from Western Red Cedar or King William Pine incorporating rosettes in the original Caldersmith style. The soundboard is reinforced with a graded rectangular lattice of western red cedar instead of balsa/carbon fibre. This gives a somewhat different sound from the carbon fibre guitars while retaining good projection and sustain.Other features of the ‘Grange’ guitars include :
- Lighter 15mm ply frame.
- 1.5mm thick soundboard.
- Double acting Truss Rod.
- Tapered fingerboard to the bass side.
- Lightweight backpack or normal ply case.
- The grange design has also proven particularly effective for the higher range treble and octave guitars.

Juan Alexander Grupalli - His work in his own words
Started making guitars in 1995 with Joaquin García in Spain.
Joaquin is my stepfather. He taught me how to build his model of guitar that has a very traditional construction. Everything is made from scratch using selected woods that have been drying for decades. The glue I use is hot glue (hide glue)
For the varnish, only shellac diluted in pure alcohol and a tiny bit of linseed oil is used to apply very thin layers of varnish to the surfaces of the guitar. This kind of varnish is known as French polish and is known to help project sound.
The neck of the guitar is attached to the sides using two wooden wedges inside the guitar that lock the parts together. This technique is also used by other guitarmakers such as José Romanillos.
The rosettes of my guitars are designed and made by myself using very thin pieces of wood inlaid around the sound hole.
I have made many guitars out of European spruce (for the soundboard) and prefer this material as it has been used for musical instruments (such as pianos, violins and guitars) for centuries and has proven its longevity. I have also made guitars with Western red cedar soundboards with good success. The spruce I use is always European rather than Engleman spruce or Douglas spruce (From North America) The cedar sounboards come from North America.
When I make a guitar, I select the wood myself and shape it according to the sound it makes when I tap it with my fingers. Once the guitar is made I play it for some time and if necessary I will tune the top or the back to a lower tone by removing some shavings of wood from some of the internal struts.
I believe that the design of the modern classical guitar has reached its maximum perfection with the work of such makers as Torres, Hauser, Fleta and many others. I enjoy building guitars inspired in the designs of such masters.
I do not believe that it is necessary to add a device to amplify the sound of the classical guitar into the instrument itself as this seems to be in detriment of the quality of the sound. The guitar might sound louder but not as nice. By using good quality microphones placed away from the guitar and good quality equipment the sound can be amplified if necessary (to play with an orchestra for example)
I have studied guitar making with several makers: Joaquin García (Spain), Stephen Hill (UK), Fernando Silva (Argentina), James Lister (UK), Andrew Armstrong (Australia)

THE Adalid model 12 has a distinctive and attractive perforated headstock. This particular version with Pau Ferro back and sides is no longer produced for the model. It has been replaced by Grenadillo.
This guitar was purchased new by the owner three years ago from the Gladesville Guitar Factory, NSW. During 2021 the owner lived overseas and the guitar was unplayed, but stored in a humidity controlled environment.
It has therefore had about two years of playing (shared among three other guitars) , but remains in near mint condition, no dings or scratches.
It is fitted with Luthier Brand Concert Silver nylon strings, which are medium-high tension, except for the G string, which is carbon. This string configuration seems to suit this guitar best.

NOTES
This new guitar model joins the line of " grand concert " instruments, which feature the finest materials and most sophisticated designs. This guitar has a double-top made of Nomex, designed under the supervision of Gernot Wagner, one of the founders of the double-top school.
The guitar's internal structure closely follows Wagner's design, not only in the soundbox but also in the construction of the sides (the inner layer is cypress), a technique designed to enhance the instrument's volume and power. This construction technique allows the soundboard to vibrate more strongly. The double inner cypress sides further increase the instrument's power and impart a warmer sound due to the use of this wood.
Comfortable and elegant neck shape for the comfort of great guitarists.
Due to the complexity of this type of construction, we have a very limited annual series of this type of guitar.
Exceptional from the first note. Its great power, projection and infinite sustain is just a prelude to its full capacity.

Johann Georg Stauffer Legnani ~1860 – a very beautiful guitar inspired by the famous master guitars of Stauffer!
This guitar was probably made in Vienna around 1860. It is a beautifully built instrument that is almost identical to an instrument by Stauffer (Legnani Model) from 1819.
This beautiful guitar was built with first class maple for back and sides and a fine spruce top. The fingerboard is rosewood and the headstock is large and beautifully constructed, as usual on Stauffer’s early Legnani models.
The scale length is 625 mm and the nut width is 46 mm.
The guitar plays easily with a low action and a straight and comfortable neck.
This beautiful guitar has an amazingly beautiful sound and a rousing, warm, soft articulation. The tones are lively and deeply expressive. The projection is amazing and the volume considerable despite the relatively small body.
A wonderful guitar with which you immediately feel an inner connection and take it to your heart

Many of the famous Ramirez guitar makers did the same … Paulino Bernabe, Manuel Contreras, Felix Manzanero, Miguel Malo, Arturo Sanzano
This is one of their excellent classical guitars with fan bracing system, with a powerful, deep and colourful sound and best balance and sustain. Like the Spruce version this is a loud and powerful guitar.
Excellent Spanish made student guitar with fan bracing system, with a powerful, deep and colourful sound and best balance and sustain.
