Aya Kitaoji - Flamenco Dance / Cajón / Vocals

 Aya was trained in classical, contemporary and folkloric dances before travelling to Spain to study in Seville, Spain at 14. She further trained with flamenco maestros in Madrid, Jerez de la Frontera, Seville and Cádiz, as well as with Adrian Galia in Japan. She continues to travel to Spain each year for professional development, performance and collaborative recording projects.
Since returning to Melbourne in 2011, she established “SENES Flamenco” to encourage the growth of flamenco in Australia. She tours and performs across the country as a dance soloist, percussionist and vocalist with SENES FLAMENCO TRIO as well as in several collaborative works in diverse genres of music and dance.

Aya continues to share her knowledge, experience and creative works through performances, dance workshops and teaching regular dance lessons at “Centro de Flamenco Melbourne”.

Alejandro Florez - Flamenco Guitar

Alejandro was born in Melbourne of Latin American & Mediterranean heritage. His original compositions are inspired by traditional Flamenco and Latin Jazz. As a songwriter and flamenco guitarist, he is often invited to collaborate with Australian and international artists across many genres such as jazz, classical and Latin American folk music. 

Since 2010 after launching his project “Solquemia Spanish Guitar”, he has also released two independent albums of his original compositions; "Solquemia" & "Limonera" has since sold thousands of copies to audiences in Australia, Europe, Asia and the Americas. 

Alejandro also performs regularly with his guitar duo and also shares his passion for flamenco guitar through private lessons in Melbourne.

Luke Koszański

Flamenco Guitar / Electric Guitar / Cajón

Luke Koszański’s music is shaped by his father’s blues and rock music, and the diverse international artists he has played with such as Ali Birra, Mahmoud Ahmed, Nhatty man (Ethiopia) Yusupha Ngum (Gambia) The Black Sistaz (West Papua) Purbayan Chatterjee and Sheldon d'silva (India)

Luke is also lead guitarist of The Senegambian Jazz band, whose debut album won Best Global Act for The Age Music Awards.

Luke continues to play regularly in Melbourne, most recently as part of “SENES Flamenco Trio” and “Solquemia Guitar Duo” with Alejandro Florez, touring regionally and interstate across Australia.
