Performer Profile - Omar Cyrulnik
Omar studied orchestral conducting and composition at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata . In 1983, 1984 and 1985 he participated in the music camps in Bariloche. In Buenos Aires he studied piano with Alba Rozen , harmony with Sergio Hualpa , chamber music with Tomás Tichauer and guitar with Miguel A. Girollet . In 1998 he took a scholarship in Naples lessons with Stegano Aruta .
Concert tours led Cyrulnik u. a. to Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay. As a soloist he has performed with ensembles such as the Orquesta Radio Nacional , the Orquesta de la Universidad de Belgrano . the chamber music group Encuentros Internacionales de Música Contemporánea and the Camerata Vocale Buenos Aires . He played contemporary music at the Jornadas de Música Electroacústica Buenos Aires (1988) and the La Festa della Musica Roma(1999). Among others composed Fausto Sebastiani , Salvador Ranieri , Raúl Schemper andEduardo Tejeda works for him.
As a music educator, he gave seminars u. a. at the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem, the University of New South Wales in Sydney and the Victoria University of Melbourne . Since 1997 he has been a member of the Congreso Argentino de Música integrante de UNESCO . In 1995 and 1997 he directed concerts of the Classical Guitar Society of Sydney . He continued to act as musical director of the programs De Romances y cantares (1989), Ceremonia de caminantes (1989), Un viaje por la casa de los músico (1992), Sonidos de la Cruz del Sur (1996) and Homenaje a Juarroz and headed Performances of the musicalsNunsense (1989 and 2000), Broadway (1991), Gypsy (1992) and Nine (1998). In addition to albums with the Grupo EIMC and the Tango Grupo Encuentros Cyrulnik published the solo albums Guitarra Criolla and La Scala de San Telmo .
